Dive in and immerse yourself in the art of Gregg Simpson.
From his studio on beautiful Bowen Island near Vancouver, BC, Canadian artist Gregg Simpson has been painting full time since the 1960s, when he was very active in the local art scene as both a painter and a jazz drummer. His early hard-edge work was influenced by pop styles of the sixties, and he was also known for his collages, drawings and multi-media works. In the 1970’s, Simpson developed a neo-surrealist style which transformed over the years into a form of lyric abstraction. Simpson continues to work on the border between abstraction and surrealism, between formal design and automatism. He exhibits his work frequently in Europe and is featured in museum and private collections worldwide.
