Colour Movements
“Art Should Aspire to the Condition of Music” wrote Wassily Kandinsky who believed colour and sound were linked through the mystical tenets of Theosophy. Colour, like sound, moves in waves and are inextricably linked, which led him to say that a painting doesn’t necessarily need to have a subject or literal theme. The titles of the works reflect the musical origin of this series.
