One thing you can depend upon in this life is that you'll see your fair share of amazing sunsets. You know the ones--blazing clouds of gold and pink exploding across a deep blue sky, the shafts of pure light turning the trees to flaming torches.
I share my view of a summer sunset that fired up the sky above my home on Bowen Island in the The Beach at Twilight. Check out the arbutus trees to the left--they really do glow bright red when the setting sun catches them.
The Beach at Twilight was exhibited in two solo exhibitions, Island Passages at the Gallery @ Artisan Square on Bowen Island and in Out of the Woods at the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam, BC.
