Dream Gardens
In the Dream Gardens series of paintings and works on paper, I pay homage to the other-worldly light and vibrant colors of the Mediterranean region. I visit this area of the world frequently and am always struck by how the stunning natural landscape combines with millennia of human history to inspire in me a dream-like hyper-awareness. Colours brighten and shapes become more defined. The world pulses with an energy as sizzling as the constant hum of cicadas on a hot summer day.
